Beebe Open 2009: Boxes Aplenty

A fine effort by the Okemos team this year didn’t translate, finishing another very mediocre 6 strokes under par in the 2009 Beebe Open in Haslett. It was the 20th anniversary of the massive scramble held at Meridian Sun golf course the last Saturday in June.

This year the core team of Kelley, Ron and Greg was joined by the skills of Robert ‘Beebe Bobby’ Pelon who contributed nicely by sinking two 30+ putts, one good for an eagle on #8, another for a birdie on the tricky par 3 11th.

Afterwards the scene was once again the Mayfair Bar and endless stacks of boxes provided by many folks but especially Woody and Earl, who shared some of their team’s second place and skin prize money. Enjoy a few photos from the big day:
