Arrives: Beebe Open 2002
Addition of Brad
Lewis pays off, Team finishes -6, eight off the pace
MERIDIAN SUN GC, HASLETT, MICHIGAN JUNE 29, 2002

The
team of Kelley Kuehne, Brad Lewis, Ron Dooley and Greg
Dooley played bogie-free golf and finished 6 on the good
side. The winners of the event finished an
impressive 14 under. The conditions were
excellent at Meridian Sun golf course, with a couple
exceptions (see my ball planted in the green above). |

Lew
was brought on to elevate our 'A' player position
& did not disappoint. He hit solid shots
all day including a nice chip-in birdie on the
long par 4 9th hole. Kelley held up his end
of the bargain with consistently strong
drives.
The
Dooley Brothers might consider sticking to tailgating
as neither one contributed many
shots. Greg was hitting a thick slice
off the tee and was spraying his irons, and Ron's
swing is completely fried. The
only person who didn't try to offer Ron golf tips
was the beer cart girl.

Afterwards,
our attention once again turned to the Mayfair
bar. Although Mudbowl was not missed on the
golf course, no one could replace last
year's performance on the dance floor
highlighted by the triple putz. These
guys tried but the result was, well....just see
for yourself. Kel and Greg had a good
view of the action.
Tournament
organizer Tim Beebe put on another wonderful
performance.
Here's a shot of Tim playing
it cool (for the ladies). All in all,
the 6 under performance is respectable and our
goal is to win the second tier flight next year
and finish in double digits under.
