Scenes from registration on
the Michigan State University campus on Wednesday evening.
This is where you receive your official DALMAC bracelet,
flag, jersey and where you drop off your bag of clothes. |

We couldn't miss out on a
picture with Dick Allen, the person responsible for this
great event. No, that's not Sonny Bono. |

Probably the biggest issue
we faced was discovered early on. Less than a mile
from our starting point Greg noticed that Dad's back wheel
was wobbling. Pictured left was Dad learning that he
had a broken spoke on our first stop in Dewitt, Michigan.
He made it through the day, however, and had the wheel
fixed up in Mount Pleasant. |

Here we are leaving Lake
City, Michigan in the morning of day 3. Learning our
lesson the day before, we decided to throw on jackets to
keep the moisture from the fog off us. Thanks again
to Gerry Seger for another great stay at her Bed &
Breakfast. |

The men at the VFW hall in
Perrinton. It is always a pleasure to stop in for
lunch to see the old boys. |
 |
About a 1/2 hour from our
final destination on day three Greg felt his back wheel
give out. Sure enough it was a flat tire. I
summoned the boys back and Dad showed his experience by
fixing the tire within 15 minutes. |

A minor issue on the trip
was the extremely thick and long lasting fog we
experienced during the morning of the second day.
Pictured are Ron and Greg outside Mount Pleasant. |
 |
Greg pushed the guys all day
to make it to the Dockside bar on Torch Lake to catch the
Michigan vs. Washington game. If not for the flat
tire we would have made it. But we ended up only
missing a few plays as we cruised into the bar at around
12:30 pm on Saturday. Here Ron and Dad enjoy a
well-deserved feast. |

Mackinaw City 2002 at the
finish line. Thanks again for Jess, Dina and Mom for
picking us up and taking us back. |
